The Adventures of
I recently found out about a new multi-vendor store opening in Colorado Springs called Paris Market Vintage. It was the first of it's kind in an outdoor shopping center full of stores like Gap, Anthropologie and Pottery Barn. I think this is sort of the new trend for boutiques to be in shopping malls instead of antique malls. I'm in two others currently, Makers Market at Park Meadows mall and The Local at Southlands mall. It gives you a chance to shop local and help out a local person when you shop instead of just a corporation. And seriously every time you buy something someone does a little happy dance. No kidding.
So I only found out about it the WEEK before it opened! So I talked with the owner Christina, who owns Chic Couture, an absolutely adorable traveling boutique of clothing for babies and toddlers. She has also been at a lot of the shows I've been at selling her sweetness. I think she's even bought a few things from my farmgirl booth. But once I found out she was the one opening the shop I was like, I'm in!
Now I'm a little bit crazy right now for opening another location. This makes the 4th, and I'm scheduled to move into a 5th in February. Especially when this is the slowest time of the year for retail sales! (I think I need my head examined) but these opportunities are just to good to say no to!
So I scrambled and painted several pieces of furniture over the course of two days and went on a mad picking spree to get enough to fill a fourth booth space, but it came together beautifully. And the store itself is so sweet. There are a lot of great vendors there selling everything from pillows, to apparel, to dog treats, to fudge! (YES I said FUDGE!) It will be a sweet little place to shop for those in the Colorado Springs area. And it JUST opened. Stop by to see all the loveliness!
